Column: Tax Credit Program Will Aid Students

Every day at Sacred Hearts Academy, I have the privilege of watching young women fulfill their potential in an environment that empowers them to thrive. I see students grow into confident, compassionate leaders. We celebrate when every senior earns admission to college, and we watch students build the confidence to lead in their communities and beyond.

But behind our students’ success is a story many people never see. For many Hawaii families, a quality education requires an enormous financial sacrifice. Tuition often means parents must work multiple jobs, and families must make difficult financial decisions to afford the educational opportunities they believe are best for their children.
