Students Reaching Their Potential — You Make It Possible

Beginning January 1, 2027, you can contribute to ACE Scholarships and receive a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit of up to $1,700! The Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC) allows individuals to redirect a portion of their federal tax liability to qualifying Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs), like ACE, to provide transformational educational opportunities for K-12 students in both the private and public-school sector.

This is the transformational opportunity our nation has been waiting for—a win for taxpayers and a win for parents and students. The EFTC is an innovative, powerful, cost-effective way to expand educational opportunities and unleash educational freedom—all without compromising public school funding.

Where Do Contributions Go?

By law, 90% of EFTC contributions must be utilized to fund scholarships and qualifying educational expenses*, which may include:

  • Tuition
  • Special needs services
  • Tutoring services
  • Computer equipment
  • Books and supplies
  • Educational technology

The remaining 10% can be utilized by the SGO for administration and operational expenses.

*As defined by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service.

Who Can Receive a Scholarship?

K-12 students from households earning up to 300% of the area median income may qualify for a scholarship. Only states that opt-in to the EFTC initiative, however, will be able to have funds delivered to students in their state. (You can still contribute and claim the federal tax credit regardless of whether your state has opted-in.)

By participating in the EFTC, you can help open doors for students at NO COST TO YOU, while directing a portion of your federal tax dollars toward expanding educational opportunities.
