[Press Release] “One Step Further on Federal School Choice”, ACE Scholarships Applauds the House Advancing the Education Choice for Children Act

Denver, CO, May 22, 2025 – Today, ACE Scholarships CEO Norton Rainey today issued the following statement after the U.S. House passed its reconciliation bill, which includes the landmark Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA), now headed to the Senate:

“Congressional leadership has made is abundantly clear: federal school choice is a priority. We applaud their unwavering commitment to expanding options and taking a historic leap forward in making this a reality for families across the country.

After decades of advocacy for school choice, this process has reached a new milestone. School choice has never seen such momentum at the federal level, and our leaders stand ready to deliver for families.

The ECCA represents a generational opportunity to empower parents in all 50 states, offering opportunity and hope for millions of students who have long been pushed into a one-size-fits-all education system.

As the bill moves to the Senate, we recognize that thoughtful debate and refinement are imminent. ACE Scholarships is eager to work alongside lawmakers to ensure this legislation remains bold and committed to helping push this across the finish line and to President Trump’s desk.

ECCA has the power to lift children out of poverty, strengthen families, and rebuild communities. When you change education, you change everything. Let’s make school choice the law of the land.”
