Proposed IRS Rule: ACE Scholarships Statement

Today, the IRS released the first public draft of a proposed rule addressing government-run “charities” designed to function as tax shelters under the federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Although ACE is a bona fide private charity that is not involved with these tax workaround efforts in any way, we are reviewing the proposed rule for potential impacts on our scholarship programs, particularly in Louisiana and Kansas.
